TGCM Church & Organization is a balanced mixture of Evangelical and Pentecostal-based theology, and is a Bible believing ministry. TGCM believes in the Church as the bride of Christ, the church today is under the New Testament covenant, and that Christians are under the dispensation of Grace, sealed by the Holy Spirit, and have the assurance of Eternal Salvation through faith. We preach the Good News of Jesus Christ and the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John and the writings of Paul, Peter, James, and John the Beloved.
Doctrine Statement
We believe in the:
1. Trinity of the Godhead – there are three and they agree as one, God the Loving and Awesome Father, Christ the Son (Savior), and the Holy Spirit
2. Holy Bible – as the divinely inspired written Word of God (1).
3. Eternal Life – a free gift from God due to Christ’s death on the cross and received by faith. The free gift of eternal life is available to anyone who calls upon the name of the Lord. We believe in the Eternal Salvation (2) of the believer.
4. Jesus Christ – the Son of God, came to earth, was born of virgin Mary, died on the cross for our sins, and rose again on the 3rd day. We believe that it is a scientific fact that Christ lived, a star appeared in the sky the night of His birth, His miracles that were performed during His ministry, His trial and execution, and that He rose again on the third day.
5. Miracles & Gifts of the Spirit – God performs Miracles and Wonders, Offers the gifts of Prophecy, Speaking in Tongues(3), and Healing(4)
6. Christian Love – While we believe that Salvation is a free gift received by faith not by any good works we perform, we encourage our members to love God with all of their hearts and to love their neighbors as themselves. These are the two commandments Jesus gave the Apostles.
7. Gifts & Offerings – New Testament Christians are not under the mandatory requirement to give tithes of 10% of their income. We are not under the law but under grace. Christians should give their voluntary gifts and offerings (as they choose) to support the ministry efforts. (see note 5)
8. Fasting – Fasting was required in the Old Testament on the Day of Atonement. New Testament Christians are not required to fast. Fasts should be done on special occasions or circumstances and should be done by the individual in private as described in Matthew 6:16-18.
9. False Teachings and Prophets – We believe that many false teachings and self-proclaim prophets are prevalent in the Christian world. All doctrine and teachings must be from the written Word of God and not from some revelation, spoken word, or leading that someone professes to have occurred. Any teaching that attempts to enhance, modify, add to, or change the written text of the Bible is considered by TGCM to be unacceptable for use in our church or our teachings.
10. Personal Evangelism – Each Christian should try to share God's love and the news of the free gift of eternal life with others. There is nothing greater that we can do than tell the world about our Lord Jesus Christ.
11.
End Times –
We believe the end times will occur at God’s timing and direction and that the
major events that will occur are:
1. The Rapture of the Church prior to the Tribulation.
2. The Tribulation where the Beast and the Anti-Christ are present with the
mark 666.
3.
4. 1000 Year Reign of Christ on Earth.
5. White Throne Judgment for the Lost.
6. Judgment Seat of Christ for the Saved.
7. New Heavens and New Earth.
Clarifications:
(1) The Bible is divinely inspired and God-breath to perfection and that it is the only authority for the Church and Christian conduct and guidance. In addition, concerning the issue of general Charismatic/Pentecostal belief in Rhema, we are a Pentecostal church and believe that the Holy Spirit guides us in our personal walk with the Lord, however, we believe as do Evangelicals, that Rhema and Logos are used interchangeably in the scriptures, especially in the Septuagint (Greek Old Testament) and in the Greek New Testament and that the written scriptures (Logos) is the final and absolute authority, not an individual’s personal guidance or “spoken word” (Rhema). TGCM firmly rejects the belief that the Rhema should ever override, add to, change, modify, enhance, or supersede the written Word of God. TGCM believes in the Old Earth Creation viewpoint and that there is a gap in Genesis 1:2 to 1:3. We believe the first Earth was created, God put Lucifer in charge, he rebelled, there was a war in heaven and the angels and Satan were cast to the Earth. God destroyed the first Earth and all that was in it including the dinosaurs and soulless men. Later God recreates the Earth starting in verse 1:3. There is structural proof of this first destruction in the plate formation of the Earth. Satan still controls the Earth and acauses the pain and destruction to try and turn mankind away from God.
Furthermore, TGCM Organization and Church uses as its preferred version, the Authorized Version of the King James Bible, 1611. Newer translations and versions are acceptable for private use, but for all formal worship in TGCM services, all scripture should be from the King James Bible, 1611.
(2) We believe in the Eternal Security of the believer. We believe that by one man’s transgression, sin entered the world, and by the death and resurrection of Christ, salvation by Grace was made possible. We believe that the believer’s life is hid in Christ and that regardless of one’s actions or failures, God sees Christ’s perfection in the believer.
(3) For the growth and edification of the church.
(4) Divine healing is available in modern times. We believe that healing comes by genuine faith. We also believe that one’s actions (such as sin in their life, their love for evil, hatred and an unwillingness to forgive and love their neighbor) can all hinder God’s answer to prayers and prevent God’s blessings.
(5) Tithing was a
requirement under the Leviticus Law (Leviticus 27:30). It was covenant between
