Does God work miracles and answer prayer
in these modern times?
Yes! God does answer prayer and works miracles even in the year 2008! So then, why is it that we don’t see it much anymore. The church does not seem to be alive with the teachings of miracles and healing and the Christians in the year 2008 don’t see to expect them to occur.
The Problem? The problem is that for miracles to occur and for answers to prayer Christians must have faith and be in good standing with God. We’ll talk about faith in a minute. This being in good standing with God simply means that you have repented of all your sins and that there is nothing in your life that would block the answer to your prayers. If you become sick, it could be God trying to get your attention and to have you repent and come back to the relationship you should have with Him. This happened to me. I became very ill and it was God bringing back to where I should be. I repented of all my unrighteousness and placed my situation into God’s hands. I asked him for Mercy. He gave me mercy and healed me completely. The victory came after I repented, asked for mercy, and believed His word.
Now about FAITH. There is such a lack of real faith in the Christian world. We never just pray and then believe God for the answer and go about our way. Instead we pray over and over for the same thing. My question is, if you do that is it real faith? Or are you just wishing?
The Solution! My grandma Tackett
was a woman of great faith. She had gone though a lot of sorrow in her life but
always praised God. The pond they used for their water supply in a little town

We need to have faith like that of
the centurion. The kind of faith that made the Son of God marvel!
“Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof: Therefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go and he goeth, and to another Come and he cometh; and to my servant do this and he doeth it. When Jesus heard these things he marveled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel. They that were sent returning to the house found the servant whole that had been sick.” Luke 7: 6-9.
